Our team of undergraduate researchers are headed to the National American Chemical Society Meeting in San Diego in March! Lauren Trout, Marisa Thompson, Abbi Leach and Lexi Evans are all presenting their work!
Dr. Miller attended the annual TAP meeting of the United Soybean to discuss his team's most recent work in the area of biobased adhesives for hemp-based lumber and flooring products. Check out the products at www.hempwood.com!
Our latest publication is out in the New Journal of Chemistry. In this paper we discuss a non-isocyanate approach to making ionic liquids which containing carbamate and thiocarbamate groups. Congrats to current undergrad Jordan Pierce and former grad George Timmermann on their published work!
Collaborative publication with the Salas group (Rutgers-Camden) exploring the effect of degree of ionic liquid substitution on the thermal, conductive and morphological properties of cellulose. Out now in the International Journal of Biological Macromolecules!
